What we collect, why we collect it, who touches it, and how to make us delete it.
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CityCited (“CityCited,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you visit citycited.com, contact us, or engage our services.
Information we collect
Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to provide, which is typically your name, email address, business name, website, phone number, and anything else you include when you email us or book a call. If you become a client, we also collect the business information needed to do the work: service details, locations served, and access credentials to systems you ask us to work on.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, standard technical information may be logged by our hosting provider and analytics, including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic and keep the site working.
Cookies
Our marketing site is static and does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Third-party tools we use, such as our booking provider, may set cookies when you interact with them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may affect how those tools behave.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and schedule calls
- To deliver, support, and improve the services you engage us for
- To send transactional messages about work in progress
- To maintain the security and performance of our website
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to run the business. Each receives only the information needed for its function and is expected to protect it. These currently include:
- Cal.com, scheduling. Receives the name, email, and any notes you provide when booking a call.
- Vercel, website hosting and delivery. Processes standard server logs including IP address.
- Email and analytics providers, for correspondence and aggregate traffic measurement.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Data retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client project records and the documents required for tax and accounting purposes are retained for the period required by law, generally seven years. Access credentials are removed from our systems once a project is handed over. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, though as stated above, we do not sell or share it
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price for making a request
To exercise any of these rights, email logan@citycited.com. We will verify your request by corresponding with you at an email address we already associate with you, and we aim to respond within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Our services are directed to businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
